Special Olympics 2009

I just had one of the best experiences yesterday! I got the chance to go to Bogus Basin to cheer for the special Olympians. I never knew how much fun it would be to stand out in the cold. It was so great! Just seeing there faces when they were skiing down the hill was tear jerking. They just glowed. It just amazed me how good they are. I have a new appreciation for the Olympians and the people that support them! Before we got off the bus we all got matching hats and when we got there and were cheering and everything, a lot of people from the other countries wanted to know where we got them and how they could get them. It was a great environment. The love that was going around was just contagious!

This is my beautiful cousin Hailee and i when we just arrived.

This is some of the scenery up there at Bogus it was very pretty.

This is a picture of us and some of our friends from Finland. The cute boy in the front was so amazing when we were done taking the picture he gave us all a big hug and told us he loved us! Then later he saw us and ran over and gave us a hug again.
Here we are with some kind people from Great Britian. Then guy insisted on holding my flag then when i let him he was like ha ha i have two and ours is bigger!
This is us and a really nice guy from Ireland. We totally loved his hat!
This us and some of the Olympians and their trainer from Japan. He was so cute he was saying stuff to them in Japanese and they would laugh.
This us and a really cute guy from Monoco. He was counting how long it took us to take pictures with all 4 of our cameras. It was so hilarious.

I had the time of my life. We met alot more people from more countries like France, Austria, CSM (not sure what it stands for), Croatia, Germany, India, and Canada. They were all wonderful and the kids were just a joy. This is a day i will NEVER forget.
